Hello wonderful pet patients!

We have been working very hard for the last few months to get a house-call business started while we have been supporting other clinics. We are officially starting house-calls on a limited basis while we work out the logistics. We will still be supporting Pine Point Animal Hospital at least one day a week. Dr. Jacobs is still working at VDIC, but will be wrapping up her work there in the next few months.

Please exercise patience with us as we work out the logistics of a house-call business as we get started. This is new territory for us compared to being surrounded by a full service hospital. This business will evolve and grow in directions that make sense as we go along the path of our new venture. We are trying to make our costs as reasonable as possible, but it will take some trial and error before we know what that means.

While we miss seeing you all at Berry Hill Veterinary Center, we are confident that we will still be able to provide quality holistic medicine and care in the comfort of your home.

Please also include if you would like a house-call in a timely fashion and the nature of your concerns. You can still find us at Pine Point Animal Hospital and my updated schedule is listed below if there is something very timely or there is a more involved issue that may not be appropriate for a house-call.​​

You can find Dr. Trish Roisum at Oswego Veterinary Hospital (Jess the assistant also!) and she is still doing wonderful work at Compassionate Care.

Meet Dr. Penny Jacobs: Your Compassionate Veterinarian
​
Dr. Penny Jacobs, discovered her passion for veterinary medicine after initially pursuing a degree in computer programming and statistics in a business school. Switching paths, she attended the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine, where she developed a love for helping animals and their humans.
​
After starting her career in Athens, Georgia, Dr. Penny moved to Portland and helped relaunch Berry Hill Veterinary Center which was a wonderful clinic under her leadership for 16 years. With a deep interest in holistic medicine, she trained in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine-based Food Therapy. Dr. Penny is passionate about offering a unique and comprehensive approach to pet health, care, and nutrition. She practices with a truly holistic mindset including catering her recommendations to clients lifestyle and abilities and handling her patients with "fear-free" practices.
​
She also works closely providing veterinary care to a cat sanctuary called Wildcat Ridge Cat Sanctuary. They are an accredited private sanctuary who provide excellent care and housing to over 100 cats of all sizes.
